Atglen Public Library is an independent nonprofit public library and a member library of the Chester County Library System. Financial support from state, county, and municipal governments comprises about half of our annual operating budget. The remaining half comes from individual donations and fundraising events. The Atglen Public Library was formed as a nonprofit Pennsylvania Corporation in 1945 and received its tax exemption as a 501c3 public charity in 1986. Donations are deductible to the extent allowable by law. Our operating budget for 2023 is $143,365.

Meetings of the Board of Trustees are held on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30pm at the Library. These meetings are open to the public.
