Computers & Internet

Public Computers

Computers are available without charge on a first-come, first-served basis. If you do not have a library card, we will give you a guest pass. You can print from the desktops or laptops for a small charge.

Desktops

We offer two desktop computers that are equipped with internet access and your choice of browsers, Microsoft Office, and fee-based printing. Users are limited to 60 minutes with two 30-minute extensions if there is no waiting list. Computers shut down 15 minutes before closing.

Laptops

We have one laptop available for in-library use. Borrow it at the service desk and use it at any available seat.

Wi-Fi in the Library

You can access free wireless internet service from your phone, laptop or other device. WiFi is secure and encrypted, so you will have to enter a password on initial use. The public’s use of the WiFi is governed by the Internet Acceptable Use Policy. The WiFi signal does reach into the street, but not the parking lot, for after-hours use.

Wi-Fi at home: borrow a hotspot

Internet down? Borrow the Internet! Atglen Public Library has partnered with T-Mobile to offer mobile hotspots to our customers for $2.00 per day. The Library hotspot program allows library card holders to access unlimited, high-speed Internet service anywhere a T-Mobile signal can be received. Connect up to ten devices at a time, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. Perfect for those who have no Internet access at home, are going on vacation, or are taking their business on the road.
