Atglen Public Library is an independent nonprofit public library and a member library of the Chester County Library System. The Library was formed as a nonprofit Pennsylvania Corporation in 1945 and received its tax exemption as a 501c3 public charity in 1986. Financial support from state, county, and municipal governments comprises about one-third of our annual operating budget. The remaining two-thirds comes from individual donations and fundraising events. Donations are deductible to the extent allowable by law. Our 2026 operating budget is $213,096.
