Summer Reading: Adventure Begins at Your Library

Teen reading a book in a tent made of a giant book.

Your adventures begin at the Library! Join us for a summer of reading challenges and special programming to fight boredom and the summer slide.

A fair-style kick-off event will be held at the back of the library parking on June 15. Participants will visit stations representing a different type of adventure story (e.g., superhero, mystery, treasure hunts, etc.). After completing a related activity, they will receive a stamp on their passport. The last stop is the library to receive their summer reading packet, along with a final stamp after checking out a book!

Reading Challenges include Read & Bead and Patch Power. Challenges through the free Beanstack app gamify the summer reading experience for those who can't make it to the library during open hours. Adults, remember to participate to model good reading habits for the kids in your life. Reading is a life-long adventure!
